David Moroney

David was born into a family business which instilled the limitations of small family businesses as well as encouraging a solid work ethic from an early age. Following completion of a Degree in Accountancy and Finance, he joined a Mid-West based accountancy firm where he completed his qualification whilst rising to the rank of Audit Manager within the firm. He was then appointed as Financial Controller of a large furniture manufacturer specialising in the wholesaling of furniture to retailers throughout Ireland and the UK. In this role he was responsible for the financial affairs of the company’s Irish and UK subsidiaries.
Having garnered experience in practice and industry, in large and small businesses, David identified an opportunity to develop an accountancy practice that closely works with its client base to delivery focussed results so proceeded to setup Moroney & Co. in 2009.
Apart from general management of the practice, David enjoys working directly with clients, particularly in the areas of strategic development, corporate finance, succession planning and general financial advisory matters.
In his spare time David enjoys current affairs, politics, sports, socialising and gardening.
